James Bond Actors6 actors, 27 films, 62 years

Netflix has acquired the complete James Bond catalog, and the films are running on streaming service. Just enter “James Bond” and then the decade of the film that you want to watch. The films are listed by decade, but you can search for the specific film that you want to view. They have not announced how long the catalog will be available.

Numerous retrospectives have been released during the past, but as far as I know, this is the first time all of the films have been released together at the same time. It would take many hours just to watch all 27 films, and I think even a big fan would become tired of it at that point. I admit that Goldfinger is my favorite, but I have noticed the athleticism of Daniel Craig.

Netflix also has announced a 2026 film adaptation of Agathy Christie’s 1929 novel Seven Dials. + In the 3-part series, episode one starts with a dramatic scene that is irrelevant to the story line. In the first place, it doesn’t make any sense. I guess they did it just for effect.

+ There also was a 1981 film adaptation

The next scene is a ball at a country house that is the size of the Houses of Parliament. The protagonist is the daughter of the hostess, and she attempts to make out with a gorgeous young man. He is found dead in her bed the next morning. The rest of the series is spent trying to find out who murdered him.

The young woman takes the investigation upon herself where she keeps bumping into (Her name is “Bumpie.”) the Police Superintendent. Several of the young man’s friends volunteer their services. Various characters come up for suspension with no clues before the real one is revealed during last scenes.

The emphasis appears to be on the sets and costumes more than the storyline, which is muddled. That appears to have been a complaint of the original.
